You can replace corn or peanut oil with a healthier olive oil that you can use for cooking as well as for your salad dressings. Try to go whole wheat on your breads. On the other hand, “fresh” vegetables often spend several days at the back of a truck before they can finally reach your supermarket which may enable some of the nutrients to be lost.

At Work

Bring lunch to work. This will help you avoid going out to lunch which can be a recipe for eating more than you should have. Bringing pack lunches will also help you have more control over what you eat. Try to have proportionate servings for lunch and have mostly veggies.
If you are feeling hungry by the time it reaches 4pm and you have no alternative but an office vending machine, what you snack on may just be as important so choose wisely. Try to reach for the nuts instead of the chocolate bar.

Go for that cup of yogurt instead of coffee during your breaks.
